BNP takes path of sabotaging polls: AL
Staff Reporter :
Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has taken the path of sabotage after failing in regular movement and preparing for conducting more dangerous secret attacks in the country.
“BNP has failed in all movements.
They started the movement to topple the government since last December, but they failed in their movement and now turned towards sabotage.
We are getting news that messages are being sent from London instructing to carry out assassinations, if necessary.
They (BNP) are getting prepared for launching more dangerous sneak attacks.
We call upon all to remain alert to this end,” he said at a press conference at AL president’s Dhanmondi political office in the city on Saturday.
Centering the upcoming national election, Obaidul Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister said, it may be seen that BNP were hatching plots to kill any important leader or candidate.
“They (BNP) are coming up with terrible plans and they are now distributing leaflets and preparing to carry out more terrible attacks,” he added.
According to Obaidul Quader , the AL does not want violence in the elections, while the party will not take responsibility if any candidate gets involved in conflicts.
The forthcoming election will not be to fail, Obaidul Quader said adding that Sheikh Hasina’s public rallies are turning into a sea of human.
“The conspirators don’t realize how enthusiastically and spontaneously people are waiting to vote in this election.
Those who are doubting about the presence of voters on January 7 polls, distributing leaflets, asking people not to vote-maybe, they can create panic by killing people. The law enforcement agencies should be more cautious in this regard,” the AL General secretary said.
