Ctg murder case fugitive arrested

Raihan (33), a fugitive accused in the murder case of farmer Abu Jahed in Chittagong’s Lohagara election was arrested with weapons by the police. He was sent to court on Wednesday morning. He was arrested last night from the hilly area of Lambashia in Chunti Yuin of the upazila.
Raihan is the son of deceased Abdu Sukkur Prakash Bantu Mia of Ward No. 6 of Sikdar Para of Chunti Union and accused no. 4 of the murder case.
It is to be noted that on the night of December 30, 2022, a group of terrorists hit Abu Zaheed with a sharp weapon in Satgarh Rhamar Bridge area of Chunti Union. The next day, Urmi Soltana Sadia Sadeka, wife of the injured, filed a case at the police station as the plaintiff.
In the case of local Md. Harun (42), Md. Jahed (28), Omar Farooq Prakash Omar (32) and Md. Raihan (33) has been made an accused.
In the evening of January 3, the injured farmer Abu Jahed died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city.
