Tamim likely not in BCB’s central contract

Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal is likely not in the central contract of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). The central contract between the BCB and the cricketers will come to an end this month. Former captain of Bangladesh Cricket team Tamim Iqbal is not interested to extend his contract with the BCB. Tamim has already requested to the BCB not to extend his contract with the governing body of Bangladesh cricket. Chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee of the BCB Jalal Yunus confirmed this matter on Sunday.
Jalal Yunus said, ” Tamim Iqbal is interested to discuss with us about his plan. He wants to discuss about his future plan and also his interest to go forward in future. He has an own plan to go forward in future. Tamim has revealed that he has a personal plan about his participation in the international cricket competitions for Bangladesh Cricket team. So, he disclosed that not to include him in the central contract. He will later sit with us and then finalise his future.”
Jalal said, ” Earlier, Tamim Iqbal discussed with us. He had take part in a conversation meeting with me. He also discussed with the Chief Selector of the BCB Minhajul Abadin Nannu. He will talk to President of the BCB Nazmul Hassan in the next month. Specially after the national elections.”
He also said, ” The selectors of the BCB have already taken part in a meeting to discuss about the central contract with the cricketers and the BCB. I also talked to them. We shall take part in the Board Meeting to discuss about this matter. I hope we shall finalise the contract with BCB and the cricketers within December 31. Then we shall give the list of the cricketers, who will be included in the list of the central contract to the President of the BCB. The BCB President will see the list and then, we shall release the list.”
