Two trains’ service temporarily closed

Ishwardi (Pabna) Correspondent :

To control the situation arising due to train vandalism, two trains of Pakshi section of Western Railway have been declared temporarily closed. These two trains are ‘Commuter’ running between Ishwardi to Rahanpur and ‘Uttra Express’ running from Rajshahi to Parvatipur. However, as the train was stopped suddenly without prior announcement, the passengers were put to extreme hardship in the winter morning.
These 2 trains will be temporarily closed from Friday (December 22). The train was stopped by an order issued by Bangladesh Railway. However, the commuter journey between Ishwardi-Rahanpur has been shortened. The train will run between Rajshahi-Rahanpur only. Pakshi Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Shah Sufi Noor Mohammad confirmed the matter to Ittefaq. He said that the Uttara Express running from Rajshahi to Parvatipur will be closed and the Ishwardi-Rahanpur route will be shortened and will run only between Rajshahi-Rahanpur.
