Tigers-Kiwis third ODI today

Bangladesh will take on New Zealand in their third One Day International (ODI) match at the McLean Park in Napier of New Zealand today. The game will start at 4.00am (Bangladesh Standard Time).

Private satellite channel Nagorik TV and private satellite channel Green TV will telecast the match live.

The Kiwis have already clinched the ODI series 2-0.

Before today’s match, Bangladesh and New Zealand faced each other in 44 ODI matches. Of them, the Tigers posted 10 victories, while the Kiwis won in the 33 occasions and rest of the one match ended without any result.

Captain of Bangladesh Cricket team Najmul Hossain Shanto said, ” Most of the cricketers of our team are promising. Earlier, we have a good number of experienced players.

But Shoriful Islam and Rishad Hossain bowled up to the mark in the last ODI against New Zealand.”

Shanto said, ” We have got some individual performance but we have not got team performance. Soumya carried the innings in the last ODI but he did not get support from his teammate.

I think we need some big partnerships in this conditions.

We shall try to make some big partnership in tomorrow’s match. Pray for us that we can avoid whitewash.”

He said, ” We shall play to win the next match.

We had a target in the very beginning. But we could not execute our plan to achieve the goal.

I think we were unlucky in the first ODI due to rain.

In the second match, Soumya played an outstanding innings. Rishad bowled really well.

There were some positive approach in that match.”

“If we can improve as a team, I think it is possible to win the next match.

I believe every match is an opportunity for us. So, tomorrow is also a chance for us. If we can perform as a team and come out from our mistakes, we can win the next match.
