Papon the wealthiest candidate in Kishoregaj-6

The ruling Awami League leader and BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon, MP is the wealthiest candidate in Kishoreganj-6 seat. According to the affidavit submitted in the nomination papers, Papon’s annual income is Tk 8 crore 53 lakh 62 thousand 488. In the 2018 election, he showed an annual income of Tk 5 crore 4 lakh 48 thousand 951.
Former President Zillur Rahman’s son and BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon have submitted nomination papers for the fourth time from Awami League for Kishoreganj-6 (Bhairab-Kuliarchar) constituency in the 12th parliamentary elections. Before this, he was elected Member of Parliament three times after receiving nomination from the party.
BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon is the Managing Director of Beximco Pharmaceuticals as his nomination letter says. His annual income from employment is 7 crore 62 lakh 1099 taka and as a member of parliament he gets an honorarium of 52 lakh 34 thousand 160 taka. He earns Tk 21 lakh 30 thousand 275 as rent from his property; There are 33 crore 46 lakh 10 thousand 314 taka with security bond, bank deposit and savings certificate of 4 lakh 96 thousand 800 taka.
His wife Roksana Sultana has 1 crore 4 lakh 32 thousand 200 taka in cash and 1 crore 66 lakh 90 thousand 277 taka in bank deposits. Papon and his wife have Tk. 1 crore in postal and savings.
