Rokeya Day observed in Kishoreganj

The Department of Children and Women Affairs and District Administration in Kishoreganj jointly arranged a rally, discussion, Joyeeta reception and cultural function marking the 143rd birth and 91th death anniversary of Begum Rokeya Shakhawat Hossain on Saturday.

A discussion meeting and Joyeeta reception-padak- 2023 were held in this connection at the local Collectorate Conference Hall on Saturday.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Abul Kalam Azad attanded the event as chief guest and Civil Surgeon (CS) , ADC (General) Rubel Mahamud, ADM Kazi Mohua Momtaj as special guests while Deputy Director(DD) in Woman Affairs Md. Mamunur Rashid was in the chair.

It was addressed, among others, by Mohila Parishad district president advocate Maya Bhowmick, Mohila Awami League district general secretary Bilkis Begum.
