Fraud in teacher recruitment exams: 19 held in Rangpur

Rangpur Metropolitan Police has arrested 19 people of device fraud syndicate in primary teacher recruitment exam in Rangpur. The police recovered several devices and mobile phones.
This information was given by Metropolitan Police Commissioner Moniruzzaman at a press briefing at Rangpur city’s DB office on Friday at 12 noon.
According to the police, in the preliminary teacher recruitment examination, the contract was made to answer the question papers of the candidates using the Bitu X device. According to that agreement, 19 people were arrested from different places of Rangpur on the eve of the preparation, the night before the exam and the morning. Among the arrested persons are three teachers of a reputed educational institution in Rangpur, 11 examinees and five members of a device fraud syndicate.
Among the arrested examinees are eight women, who were seized from the examination center with the devices before the commencement of the examination. Meanwhile, 11 devices, 80 phones and admit cards were recovered from them.
Rangpur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Moniruzzaman said that the government is fully aware of all the recruitment tests. However, an unscrupulous gang is involved in this fraud by misusing digital devices. Rangpur Metropolitan Police’s Intelligence Department has arrested the device fraud gang from the center on the night before the exam, in the morning and before the start of the exam. As a result of their detention, the gang could not leak the examination papers. He confirmed that there was no question paper leak in this incident.
In this regard, Deputy Director of Rangpur Department of Primary Education Department, Mujahidul Islam said that all measures are taken to conduct the examination smoothly. It is the ministry’s decision to cancel the exam or not. Moreover, Rangpur Divisional Commissioner is supervising the matter.
