Nomination of 7 candidates against Amu, Shahjahan Omar invalid

The nomination papers of 6 out of 11 candidates in Jhalokathi-1 seat and 1 out of 4 candidates in Jhalokathi-2 seat have been cancelled.
Nomination papers of independent candidates have to submit the signatures of 1 percent of the voters of the parliamentary constituency along with the nomination papers.
District Returning Officer and District Commissioner of Jhalokathi Farah Gul Nijhum has canceled the nomination papers of 7 candidates in two constituencies of Jhalokathi and confirmed the nominations of 8 people including Amir Hossain Amu and Shahjahan Omar.
