A total of 19 candidates have submitted their nomination papers for the two constituencies in Joypurhat in the 12th National Assembly elections. Parliamentary seat 34 Joypurhat-1 (Sadar and Panchbibi) who have submitted nomination papers are, the current member of parliament of Awami League Ed. Samchul Alam Dudu, Jatiya Party’s AKM Moazzem Hossain, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasad) Abul Khair Md. Sakhawat Hossain, Trinamul BNP Md. Masum, National People’s Party (NPP). Rukunuzzaman. Besides, the independent candidates are, Rani Rabeya Asri, AKM Rayhan Mandal Manu, Abdul Aziz Molla, Mst. Aleya Begum and Md. Zahurul Islam.
