Int’l Day of Persons with Disabilities today

International Day of Persons with Disabilities will be observed on Sunday.
Different organisations will observe the 32nd International Day of Persons with Disabilities and the 25th National Disabled Day-2023 in the country in a befitting manner with various events.
The theme of the day is ‘Protibondhi Bektider Sathe Sommilito Ongshogrohon, Nishchit Korbey SDG Orjon.’
President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina issued separate messages on the eve of the day.
The President and the PM greet all people with disabilities, their families and organizations working for them in the country.
President said in his message that the people with disabilities are inseparable part of the society.
He appreciated the theme of the day saying it is time-befitting.
President urged people from all stages, including local and foreign organisations and the civil society, to work together for the welfare of the people with disabilities
He underscored the need for providing proper care and training to the people with disabilities so that they could contribute to the overall development of the country.
