Govt out to celebrate another voterless polls celebration: BNP

Staff Reporter :
The main opposition party-BNP on Friday alleged that the Awami League government out to celebrate another voter less election celebration.

“They (government) is being ready to hold another vote rigging election like the previous 2014 and the 2018 polls ignoring the call of conducting free, fair and inclusive election from the people of the country and democratic countries,” BNP Senior Joint-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said in a virtual press briefing.

Rizvi said, “Ruling AL’s General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that the train of the polls has been started, but everyone has seen that they are driving the train buy purchasing anti-people passengers.”

“The subservient ECs previously have served Sheikh Hasina’s purposes by elected 154 MPs uncontested and declaring AL winner in 2018 holding polls at night before the election day,” Rizvi said.

“Like the previous CECs, Sheikh Hasina is trying to take the same services from the subservient Kazi Habibul Awal by announcing voting result in polls day night,” the BNP leader said.

Rizvi warned the government to stop this election train saying the people would not let the train go in the destination.
“Stop your so-called election train right now.

If do not follow this, the accident or fall of the government would be inevitable,” Rizvi warned.

The BNP leader said, “Russia, China and India are giving statement on favour of the facist Hasina government.

There is no democracy in Russia and China while democratic India’s role on favouring Hasina is a very sorrowful matter.”

He asked India that it would not be friend of the people of Bangladesh by standing against them favouring ‘fascist’ AL government.

Rizvi said, “If the people of the country stay unite, we will get another triumph in this December, the month of victory by defeating Sheikh Hasina’s fascist government.”

He alleged that the police are conducting arrest spree against the BNP men across the country and asked to stop such actions.
