6 vehicles including 5 buses torched across country

At least six vehicles, including five passengers’ buses and BRTC double Dekker, were torched in different places of the country on Wednesday amid the 24-hour blockade enforced by BNP.
In Mirpur, unidentified miscreants set fire on a BRTC bus around 1:30pm on Wednesday in Mirpur-10 area of the capital. Officer-in-Charge of Darussalam Thana Aminul Bashar confirmed the news.
Later, locals and fire service men doused the fire.
Meanwhile, miscreants set a bus of ‘Raida Paribahan’ on fire at Sayedabad in the capital Dhaka on Wednesday night.
The incident took place around 7:35 pm, said Rafi Al Faruk, duty officer at Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters.
Later, two units of firefighters from Postagola Fire Station rushed to the spot and were trying to douse the blaze, he said.
However, no casualties were reported in the incident, the official added.
In Gazipur, some miscreants have set a passenger bus on fire at Uttar Salna under Gazipur city on Wednesday morning. The incident took place around 6:30 am during the BNP’s 24-hour blockade.
In Sirajganj, miscreants set a pickup van carrying vegetables on fire on the west side of Bangabandhu Bridge at Panchlia area in Sirajganj.
The incident took place around 3:15 am on Wednesday (November 29).
In Bagerhat, miscreants set ablaze a parked bus in Bagerhat’s Rampal upazila on Tuesday night.
The incident took place in Fayla Bus stoppage area around 9:00 pm. On information, fire fighters from Rampal fire service rushed to the spot and doused the blaze.
