Bashundhara Kings take on Maziya in AFC Cup today

Reigning champions of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football Bashundhara Kings will take on Maziya Sports & Recreation Centre (S& RC) of Maldives in their Group-D match of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital today. This is home match for Bashundhara Kings. The match will kick-off at 6.00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live from the arena.
Earlier, Bashundhra Kings had a sorrow start as they lost to Maziya S&RC by 3-1 goals in their first Group-D match at National Football Stadium in Male, the capital city of Maldives on September 19. It was Bashundhara’s away match
Bashundhara Kings bounced back as they defeated Odisha FC India by 3-2 goals at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubneswar Stadium of India on October 2. It was Bashundhra’s away match.
Bashundhara Kings drew 2-2 goals with Mohun Bagan Super Giant of India at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata, the former capital city of India on October 24. It was Bashundhara’s away match.
Bashundhara Kings beat Mohun Bagan Super Giant by 2-1 goals at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital on November 7. It was Bashundhara’s home match.
Bashundhara Kings will take on Odisha FC in their last Group-D match on December 11.
If Bashundhara Kings win the rest of the two matches, the defending champions of BPL Football will move into the next round.
Bashundhara Kings are now in a superb rhythm. But their Captain Robson Robinho is injured. So, the participation of the Brazilian in the crucial match is uncertain. Robson scored at least 50 goals for Bashundhara Kings. The Brazilian forward scored goals and played key role to assist the forwards to score against their opponents.
