45th BCS written exam postponed

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has postponed the written examination of the 45th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS).
PSC issued a circular in this regard on Friday afternoon.
The changed date and routine will be published later on the PSC’s website, reads the circular.
According to the exam routine, previously published by the PSC, the 11-day written examination for the 45th BCS was scheduled to begin on Monday.
However, after the announcement of the schedule for the 12th parliamentary election, some candidates of the 45th written examination wrote to the Election Commission to defer the
date due to the ongoing political programs, including hartal and blockade.
A total of 2,309 cadres and 1,022 no-cadres will be recruited through the 45th BCS.
The preliminary examination was held simultaneously in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chittagong, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur and Mymensingh centers on May 19 this yea On June 6, the results of the preliminary test were published where 12,789 candidates came out successfully.
On November 30 last year, PSC published the circular for the 45th BCS examinations to recruit as many as 2,309 cadres and some 1,022 non-cadres.
