2 fishermen rescued alive after 4 days of Midhily

After long 4 days of the cyclonic storm “Midhily” (swept over the Bay of Bengal (on Friday) a floating fishing boat was recovered along with 2 fishermen alive from the Bay of Bengal on Tuesday morning. On the other hand, a fishing boat and 9 other fishermen caught by the storm are still missing even after 5 days of the storm. It was disclosed to the newsmen of Sharankhola Upazila headquarters in Bagerhat district by Farid Ahmed Shikdar, Manager/Director of Dubla Fishermen Group in Tuesday evening over the mobile phone from Majherkilla island of Dubla Fisherman village. He added, a number of fishermen of Alokol island of Dubla went to the deep sea in Tuesday morning in order to catch fish and found a floating fishing boat named “FB. Bhai Bhai” engine of which went out of order. Then the fishermen recovered the floating fishing boat and 2 fishermen and took them to Alorkol Island (of Dubla Fisherman village). The rescued fishermen are Goramia (22) hails from Chakaria under Cox’sbazar district and Al-Amin (28) hails from Sandip under Chottogram district.
