Women killed by brother in Bhairab

A woman stabbed to death by her younger brother in Bhairab town of Kishoreganj on Tuesday night over family feud.
The incident took place on the night at Bhairab ‘s Bhairabpur Gachatlaghat area.
The victim has been identified as Amena Begum (38) wife of Nayeem Miah and mother of three children.
The victim’s husband Nayeem Miah. lives abroad. Accused brother Md. Kallu Miah (35). Son of Abdul Gafur Mia. He is a goldsmith by profession.
Police and locals said that Amena Begum used to live there after getting the property of her father’s house. On Tuesday night brother Kallu Mia had an argument about elder sister Amena’s family matters. At one point, Kallu hit sister Amena with a sharp knife. At that time the locals rescued Amena and took her to Jahurul Islam Medical College Hospital in Bajitpur, while duty doctors declared her dead.
The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhairab Model Police Station, Shafiqul Islam said, I came to visit the place after receiving the news.
