Art historian Selima Quader Chy attends 6th Int’l Theveli Confce in Maldives, presents paper

Noted art historian Selima Quader Chowdhury, also Senior Lecturer at GED, ULAB, attended the 6th International Theveli Conference, said a press release.
Organised by Maldives National University recently, in
the conference, Selima Quader Chowdhury
presented her paper titled ‘Representation of the Female Body by Feminist Artists of Bangladesh in the 1990s’.
Art historian Selima Quader said that the theme for the conference was ‘Research for Informed Policy Decisions’. She discussed how the feminist artists of Bangladesh in the1990s broke the stereotypical representations of the female body and helped to shape
feminism in the context of Bangladesh.
