KALAPARA, PATUAKHALI: Aiming to reduce Child drowning death rate, a children’s swimming competition was held in Kalapara of Patuakhali on Monday under the ‘Swim to Save Life’ program of VASA-II project. Boys and girls took part in the competition in 4 categories based on their age. Later prizes were distributed among the winners. Upazila Executive Officer Md. Jahangir Hossain presided over the event while Upazila Parishad Chairman heroic freedom fighter SM Rakibul Ahsan was present as chief guest.
