ICC Men's CWC: Massive victory for India

India recorded a massive 160 -run victory over Netherlands in their ninth match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup (CWC) at Bengaluru in India on Sunday.
India gained maximum 18 points from nine matches, while Netherlands remained with four points from as many matches. India already confirmed their semi-final berth.
Winning in the coin-session, India decided to bat first and notched up a huge 410 runs for the loss of four wickets in the stipulated 50 overs and then all out Netherlands for 250 off 47.5 overs.
India made a formidable start with two openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill put on together 100 runs in the opening stand before Gill was dismissed by Paul van Meekeren.
Gill hit a sparkle 51. His 32-ball innings was laced with four sixes and three fours.
After Gill’s dismissal, Rohit Sharma was dismissed by Bas de Leede when India’s total was 129 for the loss of two wickets.
Rohit hit a captain’s knock of 61. He hit eight fours and two sixes in his 54-ball knock.
After Rohit’s departure, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer added together 71 runs for the third wicket partnership before Kohli was bowled out by Roelew van der Marwe when India’s score was 200 for the loss of three wickets.
Kohli notched up a fine 51. His 56-ball innings had five fours and a sixer.
After Kohli’s dixmissal, Iyer and KL Rahul built a worthy partnership contributing together 208 runs in the four-wicket stand before Rahul was dismissed by Leede.
Rahul hammered a typhoon 102. His 64-ball knock was studded with four sixes and 11 fours.
Iyer remained unbeaten with 128. His 94-ball innings was laced with five sixes and 10 fours.
Iyer was adjudged the Man of the Match. Leede got two wickets conceding 82 runs.
Later, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja captured two wickets each instead of 29, 33, 41 and 49 runs respectively.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, the two occasional bowlers picked up one wicket each for seven and 13 runs respectively.
Teja Nidamanuru and Skybrand Engelbrecht shone with the willow scoring 54 and 45 runs respectively.
