BCB to issue show-cause notice to Donald

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to issue show-cause notice to Tigers’ Pace Bowling Coach Allan Donald, who criticised Shakib Al Hasan’s appeal for a ‘timed out’ against Angelo Mathews in the match against Sri Lanka on Monday last as he said to the cricket website Cricblog.net: ‘I don’t want to see that (on the cricket field).’

Mathews became the first player in the 146-year history of international cricket to suffer the dismissal when he exceeded the two-minute limit to take strike when he arrived at the crease to bat.

Donald expressed his views as he said “My immediate reaction when that happened, and this is just my instincts would have taken over, was that I almost actually thought of going on the field and saying, ‘Enough’s enough, we do not stand for this.
