AL carry out vandalism to blame BNP: Rizvi ‘Forcibly disappearance incidents come back’

Staff Reporter :
BNP Senior Join-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Tuesday alleged the ruling Awami League for carrying out vandalisms across the country and then shifting the blame on his party.

“The ruling party (AL) men are doing vandalisms and many misdeeds across the country, but they are blaming the BNP for those offenses,” Rizvi said while addressing a press briefing virtually.

He said that the ruling party is carrying out such vandalisms in a pre-planned way to blame the BNP.

“Those, who have no public supports have to do such vandalisms, but the BNP has no need of doing such misdeeds as it has enormous popularity among the people,” BNP Senior Joint-Secretary General said.

He said that BNP rallies attained huge gathering of people in a short-time notice because it has massive popularity.

Rizvi said, the days of forcibly disappearances have come back again as the government’s agencies started picking up BNP and its associate bodies’ leaders and concealing their whereabouts.

“The law enforcers have picked up Titumir College Chhatra Dal Joint-General Secretaries Mahmudul Hasan Rafique and Saiful Islam, but yet to disclose where they are now. Such picking up forcibly and putting them in undisclosed places proved that the forced disappearances returned again,” the BNP leader said.

He alleged that the government has brought back the forced disappearance incidents for creating panic among the people for holding the next general election lopsided.

Rizvi said that the government has targeted and picked up the youth leaders as they are the vanguard of the movement.
