RAB defuses bomb found under train at Ishwardi Junction station

The bomb disposal unit of RAB-5 recovered and defused the bomb from under the carriage in the yard of the largest Ishwardi Johnson station of Pakshi division of Western Railway. The Bomb Disposal Unit of RAB under the leadership of RAB-12 Sirajganj Commander Additional DIG Maruf Hossain recovered and defused the bomb on Friday (November 3). Three members of the Railway Security Force have been locked up in the incident.
Pakshi Railway District Superintendent of Police Sahab Uddin, RAB-12 Pabna Company Commander Golam Farooq, Ishwardi Upazila Nirbahi Officer Subir Kumar Das, Assistant Commissioner (Land) TA Rahsin Kabir and other officials of Police, RAB and Railways were present.
Maruf Hossain, the captain of RAB-12, said that after the Pakshi Railway Superintendent of Police informed about the matter, he spoke to the RAB’s citation officers. Officers were directed to work in coordination with the bomb disposal unit of RAB-5. The Bomb Disposal Unit collected and defused the bomb. This is a very sad incident in the current context. Miscreants can do this to create panic among the public and disrupt the ongoing economic progress of the country.
UNO Subir Kumar Das said that someone left the bomb to create panic in the public mind. Adequate measures have been taken for railway safety.
Inspector of Ishwardi Railway Security Force Feroz Ahmed said that the duties of three members of the security force on duty have been closed. They are Habildar Abdul Hannan, Sepoy Ripon Hossain and Sepoy Shariful Islam of Intelligence Branch. For now: They will not be given duty, he said, investigation will be done to see if they have neglected their duties.
Railway security personnel found the bomb wrapped in red tape under the new spare reserve coach of the inter-city train on railway line 2 west of platform 1 at Ishwardi Junction in the early hours of Friday (November 3). At night, someone throws a bomb like a kauta on the railway line or throws it, but it does not explode. A patrol of railway security personnel spotted the bomb and informed the law enforcement agencies.
