Tigers take on Netherlands today

Bangladesh will take on Netherlands in their sixth match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the former capital of India today.

The Day/Night affair will start at 2.30pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).

Private satellite sports channel T Sports, private satellite channel GTV will telecast the match live.

Bangladesh have to win today’s match if they want to reach the semi-finals.

The Tigers collected two points from five matches, while Netherlands earned same points playing as many matches.

Bangladesh made a good start in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup defeating Afghanistan by six wickets in their first match on October 7.

The Tigers suffered a massive 137-run defeat to the defending champions England in their second match on October 10.

Bangladesh lost to New Zealand by eight wickets in their third match on October 13.

The Tigers tasted a seven-wicket defeat to favourites India in their fourth match on October 19.

Bangladesh tasted a 149-run loss to in-form South Africa in their fifth match on October 24.

On the other hand, Netherlands had a poor start as they lost to Pakistan by 81 runs in their first match on October 6.
The Dutch tasted a 99-run defeat to New Zealand in their second match on October 9.

Netherlands fought back as they defeated South Africa by 38 runs in their third match on October 17.

Netherlands suffered a five-wicket loss to Sri Lanka in their fourth match on October 21.

The Dutch tasted a huge 309-run defeat to Australia in their fifth match on October 25.

It is the biggest defeat in this Cricket World Cup so far.

Before today’s match, Bangladesh and Netherlands faced each other in two One Day International (ODI) matches. Of them, Bangladesh posted one victory, while Netherlands won in the one occasion.
