Major (Retd) Javed Hasan passes away

Major (Retd) Mohammad Javed Hasan, younger brother of the Director, Public Relations of the Bangladesh Power Development Board, Shamim Hasan, passed away in the Combined Military Hospital after a massive heart attack on Friday.

He was 55.

He was laid to rest with full military honours at the Banani Army Graveyard on October 22, after the Jummah prayer at the Central Jame-Mosque in Dhaka Cantonment.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, and one son, as well as numerous relatives, well-wishers, and colleagues.

Major Mohammad Javed Hasan was born into a Muslim family in Dhaka on October 31, 1968.

After completing his primary education, he attended Rajshahi Cadet College and passed his SSC and HSC exams.

Following this, he joined the Bangladesh Armed Forces.

On December 23, 1988, he received his commission as part of the 19 BMA Long Course and begin his professional career.

He later joined the prestigious 12 East Bengal Regiment.
