Shakib returns to Mirpur

Shakib Al Hasan returned to the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in the city’s Mirpur on Wednesday.

But Captain of Bangladesh Cricket team Shakib Al Hasan did not go to Kolkata.

The left-hand all-rounder returned to SBNCS in the city’s Mirpur yesterday.

He took part in the training session with his mentor Najmul Abedin Fahim there.

Shakib Al Hasan joined his team tomorrow.

Shakib Al Hasan has a good relation with Najmul Abedin Fahim.

He practiced under supervision of Fahim for a long time.

It may be mentioned that Shakib took part with his mentor Mohammad Salahuddin before the last ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in England.

After that he showed an all-round performance in that World Cup.

He scored 606 runs and captured 11 wickets.

Earlier, Shakib failed to show notable performance in an edition of Indian Premier League (IPL).

Then he returned to the country and worked with his mentor.

Shakib Al Hasan played four matches in this year’s ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

He could not take part in a match due to injury.

He failed to shine with the willow and also shine with the cherry.

He scored only 56 runs.

His highest score is 40.

He captured six wickets.

Bangladesh got only one win playing five matches in the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

Most of the players of Bangladesh Cricket team lost their rhythm and failed to show satisfactory performance in the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

Bangladesh’s chance to reach semi-final became faded.

There is an idea that Shakib did not return Dhaka for his personal reasons.

He came here to work to develop his batting performance.
