BARI holds workshop on conservation agriculture

The Farm Machinery and Post harvest Process Engineering Division (FMPE) of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) has arranged an workshop on Conservation Agriculture at the FMPE Seminar Room on Sunday.
The daylong workshop was funded by the ASMIH-BD (BARI Part) project. Senior scientists of BARI, BRRI, BWMRI, BARC and professors of Bangladesh Agricultural University participated in this workshop.
BARI Director (Oilseed Research Centre) Dr Md. Tariqul Islam presided over the function while BARI Director General Dr Debasish Sarker inaugurated the workshop as chief guest.
Ex-Director General, BARI & Former Executive Chairman BARC Mr. M Harun Ur Rashid; Former Director (T&C) Dr Md. Ayub Hossain; Cropping Systems Agronomist, CIMMYT, Bangladesh Dr Mahesh Kumar Gathala; Professor Dr Md. Jahir Uddin, Dept. of Soil Science, BAU; Professor Dr Md. Mashiur Rahman Dept. of Agronomy, BAU; Dr Muhammad Arshadul Hoque, Senior Scientific Officer, FMPE Division, BARI were presented Keynote Paper in the workshop. Dr Md. Nurul Amin Chief Scientific Officer FMPE Division of BARI gave the welcome address.
