Israeli attack on hospital in Gaza a crime against humanity

Syed Faruk Hossain :

The Israeli attack on Al Ahli Al Arabi Hospital in Gaza, which killed at least 500 people, has been strongly condemned by various countries and organizations around the world.

In many countries, angry people took to the streets to protest the attack. The protesters called the attack a crime against humanity and the attackers should be brought to justice.

The air strike took place at the Baptist Hospital located in the heart of the Gaza Strip.

There were hundreds of sick and wounded people in the hospital, who had probably been forced to leave their homes by previous airstrikes.

From the past seven decades, these children have been the main targets of Israeli occupation guns and bombs in Palestine.

Thousands of such children of seven generations have dropped out in these seven decades. Every day new babies are born in Palestine who fall asleep before they go to sleep. It is worthless to count them.

Almost half of Gaza’s 2.3 million population is under 18 years old and the current attack is Israel’s fifth and largest attack in the last 15 years.

Earlier, it was reported that a school in the Gaza Strip was also struck by an airstrike. The United Nations said the attack killed at least six people who had taken shelter at the school.

UNRWA officially stated that many more were injured in the airstrike. Earlier, hundreds of patients injured in the Israeli attack and many homeless residents took refuge in the hospital thinking it was ‘safe’.

No place in Gaza is now safe for children and their families. In this situation, at least 50,000 women are going to give birth in this valley, which is covered with bombs and ammunition, according to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

According to the organization’s calculations, at least 160 women are now giving birth in Gaza every day.

As food, water and fuel run out in Gaza, the environment has become even more deadly for pregnant women, new mothers and children.

The aim is to ‘cripple generations’. According to a 2022 report by Save the Children, four out of five children in Gaza live in depression and fear.

More than half of the children here think of suicide and live with the trauma of witnessing the death of other children.

In such a situation, UNICEF called for a ceasefire on October 14 due to the loss of hundreds of women and children in the ongoing attack by Israel in Gaza.

On average, one child is killed every 15 minutes in the Gaza Strip due to the continuous attacks of the Israeli Air Force.

Israel has been bombarding Gaza heavily for almost two weeks. The death toll in Israel’s attacks in the Gaza Strip has risen to 4,000. One-third of those killed in Palestine were children.

Without an end to the war or a cease-fire, thousands of children will lose their lives. According to Defense for Children International Palestine (DCIP) estimates, 2,301 Palestinian children have been killed by Israeli forces since 2000 until the current invasion.

The highest number of children died in 2014. The operation, known as Operation Protective Edge, killed 2,251 Palestinians, 551 of whom were children.

There were 299 women. Even after so much bloodshed, so much loss of life, the Palestinians who are weighing life and death in the world’s largest open-air prison, knowing that death is certain in their desire for freedom, stand with slingshots or stones in front of the Vail tank. In the atmosphere of bombs and death, the spread of love and heredity also goes on.

Israeli bombers continue to bombard various installations in besieged Gaza.

The airstrikes intensified on Tuesday morning after Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu vowed to wipe out the Palestinian independence movement Hamas.

In Gaza, there has been a terrible humanitarian disaster as the supply of daily necessities including food, water and electricity has stopped for 2.3 million people.

On October 7, Hamas, the armed organization of the Palestinian liberation movement, attacked the Israeli territory.

In response to the attacks of Hamas, the Israeli forces counterattacked with rockets and bombs. The UN Security Council held a meeting on the Israeli-Palestinian war.

A humanitarian ceasefire in the conflict and a proposal to create a humanitarian corridor in the Gaza Strip were voted on in this meeting.

Citizens of the Gaza Strip began to leave their homes in panic. In the meantime, Israel has stopped the supply of food, water and fuel, including electricity, to the Gaza Strip.

More than 5,000 people lost their lives in counter-attacks by both sides. Most of them are civilians. Israel bombed Al-Ahli Hospital.

More than five hundred innocent Palestinians lost their lives. They escaped the horrors of war and sought refuge in hospitals when wounded.

The need for food, water, medicine and shelter for civilians is important. On the other hand, Iran is getting indirectly involved in the ongoing crisis; Which has become a cause of concern in the West.

Arab countries are coming together to ensure that the Israeli-Palestinian war does not spread regionally.

The way Israel has responded has denied the people of Gaza their right to self-defense.

They executed the people of Gaza without any trial. Recently, the attacks of Hamas in Israel and the continuous counter-attacks of Israel in Gaza in response to it have caused a wave of protests on behalf of the Palestinians in various countries, especially in the Middle East.

Living under Israeli occupation and forced settlements in the Palestinian territories will not bring peace to the region. Bangladesh condemns the ongoing armed conflict between Israel and Palestine.

Bangladesh is deeply saddened by the loss of lives of innocent civilians and injuries to victims as a result of the conflict.

The indiscriminate oppression, torture and killing of innocent people including women and children in the conflict is a gross violation of human rights.

The international community continues to try to end the war without delay and take a stand for the oppressed people.

The innocent people of Palestine are the biggest victims of the long-running conflict. For 73 years, the people of Palestine have been struggling for their rights.

The people of Palestine have suffered unspeakable calamities due to this conflict. Diplomatic efforts are being made to protect human rights and establish peace.

The death toll continues to rise. Meanwhile, the powerful countries of the world have been divided on the side and against this ongoing war. Most of the western countries have already sided with Israel.

The United States, one of the most powerful countries in the world, had already sent two warships to fight for the Israelis. However, in this ongoing war, several superpowers and powerful countries of the world stand for Palestine

. A number of powerful countries have called for a solution through a two-state policy.

The root cause of Israel-Hamas war is historical injustice towards Palestine. At the root of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is the long-delayed realization of Palestine’s desire to establish an independent state.

It was not right to make the Palestinians suffer because of this historical injustice. Building a strict deterrence along the Gaza Strip will cause infrastructural damage, humanitarian disaster.

A massive land campaign, where both sides would suffer heavy losses. The entire region will become a battlefield. The current situation is threatening to start World War III. Israel is responsible for the ongoing attacks and violence in Palestine.

This aggression must be stopped immediately.
Until the independence of Palestine is guaranteed, the entire Muslim nation will stand by the people of Palestine.

Peace-loving people of the whole world who have humanity in them will stand by the side for the freedom of the Palestinian people.

The country is going through a tough time in the wake of Israel’s war on the Palestinian people in Gaza. One day Palestine will be an independent and sovereign state.

The suffering of the people of that country will be reduced. Palestine must be recognized as an independent-sovereign state immediately.

At the root of the Palestine-Israel conflict is the long delay in the realization of Palestine’s desire to establish an independent state.

It was in no way right to make the Palestinians suffer because of this historical injustice We believe Palestine will be an independent and sovereign state soon.
