Sheikh Russell Day observed in Kishoreganj

The 60th birthday of Sheikh Russell, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was observed on Wednesday in a befitting manner in Kishoreganj district.

The birthday programmes include– cake cutting, discussions, milad and doa mahfils, cultural functions, rallies, painting competitions, tree plantation and distribution of foods among the destitute people.

A discussion meeting was held at local Collectorate Conference room on Wednesday morning. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Abul Kalam Azad presided over the meeting while Police Super Mohammad Russell Sheikh PPM (Bar) as special guest. Later, a colourful rally was brought out in the town.
