Rangpur Health Dept inaugurates Janani project

The inauguration ceremony of Janani project was organized in Rangpur SadarUpazila.

The project was inaugurated on Sunday in the meeting room of the Divisional Family Planning Office in the presence of the related officials of Health and Family Planning Department of Rangpur SadarUpazila, public representatives of Rangpur SadarUpazila and prominent people.

RDRS Bangladesh is the local implementation partner of the project and research and evaluation partner of the ICDDR,B project.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the initiative will be implemented in three phases, with the initial phase focusing on coverage of Rangpur and Lalmonirhat districts over the next five years.

The results and progress of the first phase will guide the expansion to the remaining districts of Rangpur division in the next phase.

Dewan Morshed Kamal, Director of Family Planning Directorate of Rangpur Division, spoke as the chief guest on the occasion.

Rangpur District Deputy Director Family Planning Dr. Sheikh Md. Saidul Islam presided over the event.

Deputy Director, Local Government Rangpur, Md. was present as a special guest. Jilufa Sultana, Deputy Civil Surgeon Rangpur – Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin, Rangpur SadarUpazilaUpazila Executive Officer Md. Naeem Hossain Khan and Rangpur SadarUpazilaUpazila Chairman Nasima Zaman Bobby.
