Fire service rescues three tourists who lost their way in Sitakunda Eco Park

Members of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) department rescued three tourists who lost their way in Sitakunda Botanical Garden and Eco Park in Chattogram on Friday.
Those rescued are Jamal Uddin, 24, Sanjoy Banik, 35, and Md Alauddin, 36.
They are officers at a Noakhali branch of state-owned Sonali Bank and came to Sitakunda from the district to tour in the Eco Park on the weekend.
KM Rafiqul Islam, Sitakunda upazila nirbahi officer, confirmed the incident saying that the tourists entered the park around 9:30am and went into the deep forest.
At one stage of losing their way, one of them phoned the national emergency service 999 seeking help, he said.
On information, a team from Sitakunda fire station led by its senior station officer Md Nurul Alam Dulal rushed to the park and was finally able to come by them through tracking their location via google map around 3:15 pm, the UNO said.
The rescued tourists expressed their gratitude to the fire service members for their help to find the way.
