Kishoreganj admin to conduct drives for stable markets

The district administration including Police, RAB, DNCRP will conducted drives from tomorrow at all kitchen markets in 13 upazilas and 8 municipalities of Kishoreganj to keep the supply and prices of rice, potato, egg, sugar, onion, oil, flour stable ahead of the Durga Puja.

It also takes steps to strengthen monitoring and create a competitive commodities market.

The special meeting of Police Super (SP) Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PMM (Bar), ADC(General), ADM Farzana Khanam, NSI Deputy Director (DD) Md. Iqbal, UNOs, DNCRP Assistant Director (AD) Rehdoy Ronjon Bonik, Chamber president Mujibur Rahman Belal, CAB president Alam Sarowar Tito, Officer in Charge-s (OCs ) review the price situations, locals and international markets, with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md.Abul kalam Azad in the chair.

Fixed income people have been suffering a lot for some time now due to the unusual hikes in prices of key essential items, especially edible potato sugar, onion, green chilli, egg, etc.

DC in Kishoreganj Md. Abul Kalam Azad said, Government has taken initiatives to keep the prices stable throughout the year.
