Innovation summit empowers female students

The E-STEM Innovation Summit, a groundbreaking event aimed at promoting environmental awareness and STEM education, was successfully held on September this year.

The summit took place in the esteemed auditorium of District Shilpakala Academy, Rangpur, and was organized by ECS – Education and Cultural Society, a prominent Non Government Organization (NGO) in Bangladesh, in collaboration with the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE).

The event saw the enthusiastic participation of over five hundred female students from 20 secondary-level schools in the Rangpur district.

Throughout the day, these young minds engaged in a wide array of activities, including projects, poster presentations, video production, Olympiad-style competitions, and debate competitions.

The common theme across all these activities was the application of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), and environmental knowledge to address and mitigate environmental challenges.

ECS’s Executive Director, Kazi Nasrin Siddiqa, chaired and moderated the debate competition, ensuring a vibrant exchange of ideas.

Serving as judges for the competition were Associate Professor Md. Jahangir Hasan from Rangpur Teachers Training College and esteemed educationist Dr. Shahid Monju.
