Delegation of Nepal Parliament visits BARI

A delegation from Nepal Parliament visits Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) on Thursday.

The team was led by Dr. Arju Rana, Chairperson of the Nepal Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture and former First Lady of Nepal.

BARI scientists and officers welcomed Nepal Parliament members delegation at the time of their arrival in the institute. BARI Director General Dr. Debasish Sarker gave a welcome address at DG’s conference room.

Then Director (Planning &.Evaluation) Dr. Dilwar Ahmed Choudhury gave a brief PowerPoint presentation on the activities and achievements of BARI.

Director (Support & Services) Dr. Ferdouse Islam,, Director (Oilseed Research) Dr.Md.Tariqul Islam, Director (Tuber Crops Research Center) Dr. Sohela Akhter, Director ( Pulse Research Center) Dr. Mohi Uddin, Heads of the Divisions, senior scientists, and officers, among others, were present on the occasion.

Later, the delegation visits Pesticide Analytical laboratory, Plant Disease Diagnostic Laboratory, and expressed their satisfaction by seeing the activities of advancement and achievements of BARI.
