Tiger swallowed fisherman in eastern Sundarbans

A fisherman named Shipar Hawladar (22) who went to the deep forest within Dhansagar Forest Office under Chandpai Forest Range in the Eastern Division of Sundarbans (in Bagerhat district) to catch fish fell under the claws of a Royal Bengal tiger and the entire body of him was eaten (swallowed) up by the tiger excepting the head and his blood stained pant.
After long 4 days of his missing the relatives accompanied by a good number of villagers searched the forest and recovered only the head and blood stained cloths (pant) of him from the Tulatala area of the deep Sundarbans on Sunday (October 01), according a delayed report received here.
The ill-fated Shipar Hawladar was the son of one (fisherman) Faruk Hawladar of village Rajapur under Sharankhola Upazila.
In the morning of last September 27 ill-fated fisherman Shipar Hawladar, son of one fisherman Faruk Hawladar of village Rajapur under Sharankhola Upazila in Bagerhat went to Sundarbans to catch fish without obtaining any pass/permit from the forest department and was missing.
Kamal Hossain Talukdar, a UP member of Dhansagar Union told, on the last Wednesday morning Shipar Hawladar alone went to Sundarbans to catch fish from the canals with cast-net illegally (without the permission of the forest department) and he was scheduled to return home on the same day. But he did not return home.
As a result, the family members fell in great anxiety and at one stage they began to search the Sundarbans forest.
But finding no trace of missing Shipar Hawladar the family members accompanied by a large number of villagers, 50/60 in number, armed with some lethal weapons entered into Sundarbans on Sunday morning (October O1) after taking the permission from the forest department and began to search the forest and at 8 pm they recovered only the head and his blood stained pant from Tulatala, a dense forest within Dhansagar Forest Office under Chandpai Forest Range in the Eastern Division of Sundarbans (in Bagerhat district). At that time a good number of marks of the tiger’s paws were noticed in and around the spot by the members of the rescue team.
