US visa policy will not affect police: IGP

The US visa policy will not affect the image of police force, said Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun.

The IGP came up with the remark while responding to a question of a journalist at a programme at Tourist Police Headquarters in the capital city on Monday noon.

The IGP said the police always try their best to recover the weapons.

“We firmly believe that police can perform their duties properly during the next general election as police have taken some plan to seize illegal arms ahead of the election,” said the IGP.

The Election Commission is responsible for organising the election. During the election, we will work as per directions of the commission, IGP added.
