Pro-BNP lawyers hold road-march demanding Khaleda’s treatment abroad

Pro-BNP lawyers of the Supreme Court on Sunday held a road-march for ensuring ‘Constitutional rights’ of treatment of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
United Lawyers Front (ULF), a platform of the anti-government lawyers including pro-BNP lawyers, organised the road march.
The procession started at 1.30 pm from the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) building and ended at main gate of the Supreme Court.
ULF’s Convener and former President of the SCBA Advocate Zainul Abedin presided over the concluding rally held after the procession.
ULF’s Co-convener Advocate Subrata Chowdhury, Chief Coordinator Barrister Kayser Kamal, Supreme Court Bar Adhoc Committee’s Convener Advocate Mohsin Rashid, Advocate Gazi Kamrul Islam Sajal, Advocate Syed Mamun Mahbub, Advocate Mohsin Miah, among others, gave addressed the rally.
Advocate Zainul Abedin said, “This government has killed democracy.
It has killed the independence of the judiciary. Our Judiciary could not be independent for Begum Khaleda Zia.
Prime Minister said she is not afraid of sanctions. But we the people of the country are ashamed.”
