3 arrested along with stolen copper cables

Some 3 members of a gang of thieves were arrested along with more than 245 kgs copper cables stolen from Bangladesh-India Friendship Thermo Power Plant at Rampal under Rampal Upazila in Bagerhat district by the members of Ansar Battalion-3 and the members Rampal Ansar Camp at Wednesday night at about 4 am (in the early hours of Thursday at about 4 am).

At that time a micro bus used in the stealing purposes was seized. In this connection Hamidul Islam, Security-in- charge of the Power Plant lodged a case with Rampal PS in the following morning as the plaintiff.

Later, the arrested thieves were sent to Rampal PS. The arrested thieves are Mehedi Hassan (19), son of one Ashraf Ali of village Barasia under Fakirhat Upazila in Bagerhat district.

Md. Mahabub Hossain (21), son of one Nur Mohammad Shaikh of village Khajadanga under Rupsa Upaziola in Khulna district and Md. Jahangir Sardar 45), son of one Mofiz Sardar of Goborchaka area under Sonadanga Upazila in Khulna.
