Veteran actress Rina Rahman lost her husband 30 years ago and fell into the sea with her four sons and daughters.
She could not understand how to do what not to do.
But even though she was still acting, the actress increased her busyness in acting to raise these four children like
human beings.
Rina Rahman’s acting journey started in 1979 in TV dramas. Since then, she acted in TV dramas, stage and radio plays and later in package dramas.
Rina Rahman has turned herself into a legendary actress by acting in multi-dimensional roles in the drama.
But at this time, the need for the kind of character she plays has completely decreased in the drama, so the life of artistes like Rina Rahman has been reduced and as if it has become very difficult.
Even then, many directors try to create characters in dramas for such artistes.
Rina Rahman is acting in a similar role in the drama serial ‘Joba’, which is being aired on Deepto TV.
She is acting in the drama serial ‘Joba’ directed by director Ashish Roy with the talented living legend Dolly Johur, noted actress and
director Aruna Biswas.
While talking about acting in the serial ‘Joba’, Rina Rahman told this correspondent, “There was a time when I used to act regularly in drama series and short dramas.
But in the continuity of time, the characters of artistes like me are not there at all.
It is very difficult to live in Dhaka city with four children and meet the needs of other things incidental to life by renting a house.
Still, I have my sincere gratitude to those who try to take me in their dramas.
I am acting in drama serial ‘Joba’ now. My house is near Postogola in the capital.
From there I go to shoot in different places and it is very difficult for me.”
Dolly Johur said, “Regular work should be done on those who play the characters of the dramas and enhance the beauty of the dramas.”
Aruna Biswas shared her feelings by this way, “An artiste, that is, an actor, wants to act with love for life.
He or she found satisfaction in his/her own life in the midst of acting.
It is the responsibility of our industry to keep artistes like Rina Apa alive. Rina Apa is a talented actress and undoubtedly a good person.”
Rina Rahman informed that earlier she used to act in stage plays.
Aminul Haque Amin’s theatre group, Mutaloy Natyangan, she acted in various plays. But after the retirement of Aminul Haque from service, it is not possible for him to run the theatre group.
