ENT hospital in each division
The Awami League (AL) government has constructed an ear, nose and throat (ENT) institution and hospital in Tejgoan industrial area, Dhaka, which has been in operation since 19 June 2013.
It was a breakthrough for ENT medical treatment in Bangladesh. Hundreds of patients are getting modern medical treatment at affordable cost every day from this hospital.
Dozens of doctors are getting post graduate specialized education on ENT medical treatments every year.
There is shortage of specialist doctors on ENT medical treatment as well. ENT medical treatment near the doorsteps of the patients will have to be arranged.
To achieve that target replicas of such ENT institutions and hospitals in each administrative division are necessary.
It will address shortage of ENT specialized doctors and in future the government will be able to engage them in district hospitals and Upazila Health Complex at Thana level.
The AL government should undertake a five years project to construct one ENT institution and hospital in each administrative division to develop our ENT patients as human resources of the country.
The proposed institution and hospital shouldn’t necessarily be constructed at divisional headquarters rather that could be setup in any district under a division.
