Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team Javier Cabrera said, ” We want to advance match by match in the Football Competition of the Asian Games.

I am not interested now to tell my target.

I am thinking about the first match against Myanmar.”

Bangladesh Football team will take part in the Football Competition of the upcoming Asian Games.

The 19th Asian Games will be held at Hangzhou in China from September 23 to October 8.

But the Football Competition of the Asian Games will kick-off from September 19.

Bangladesh Football team was scheduled to leave the city on Friday midnight.

Basically the Football Competition of the Asian Games is a Football Tournament for the footballers, who are Under-23, according to their age.

Besides, three footballers, who are above Under-23 can be available to take part for a team, which team used to play in the football meet.

Javier Cabrera added two footballers, who are above Under-23. They are: Sumon Reza and Murad Hasan.
The Hangzhou-bound 15 booters took part in the coaching camp for a week at the Bashundhara Kings Arena.

The Bangladesh Under-23 Football team took part in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-23 Football Championship qualifiers in Thailand which concluded recently.

They joined the Habgzhou-bound team on Wednesday last. Javier Cabrera is originally Head Coach of Bangladesh National Football team.

The Hangzhou-bound Bangladesh team will take part under supervision of Spanish-born Bangladesh Football team’s Head Coach.

Rahmat Mia will lead the Bangladesh Football team in the forthcoming Football Competition wearing the arm-band.

Marking the upcoming football competition, a press conference was held at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in the city on Friday.

Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team Javier Cabrera, Captain of Hangzhou-bound Bangladesh Football team Rahmat Mia, Team Manager of Hangzhou-bound Bangladesh Football team Bijon Barua were present at the conference, among others.

It may be mentioned that Captain of Bangladesh Football team Jamal Bhuyan could not go with the Hangzhou-bound Bangladesh Football team as he is now playing in Argentina Third Division Football League.

Rahmat Mia said, ” Jamal Bhuyan and other experienced booters were with us in the last Asian Games.

Besides, we shall not get the service of the players of Bashundhara Kings as Bashundhara Kings will take part in their international competition.

We shall miss them.

However, We shall try to give our best.”
