But the State Minister for Public Administration Ministry has denounced the the DC’s assertion saying a government servant can’t say like the way.
“A DC cannot seek vote ahead of the national election.
He cannot say like this way,” State Minister for Public Administration Ministry Farhad Hossain said while talking to reporters at the secretariat on Tuesday afternoon.

“In this era of artificial intelligence as any kind of speech can be twisted.
We will examine the DC’s statement. Definitely action will be taken if we found any violation in DC’s speeches,” Farhad Hossain added.
However, the Jamalpur DC also hoped local MP, Mirza Azam, would get a berth as a cabinet member in the next government the AL would form.
He was addressing a programme organised to inaugurate the newly constructed building of Madarganj pourashava in Jamalpur on Monday afternoon.
Jamalpur-3 (Madarganj, Melandah) constituency MP, Mirza Azam, also joint general secretary of the ruling party, was present at the event as chief guest.
