President of Lohagara Fishermen League held

Sadar Union FishermenLeague President Abdul Aziz was arrested in connection with the Jamaat sabotage case in Lohagara Upazila of Chattogram.

He was arrested last Thursday (September 7) evening from Khan Mohammad Sikdar neighborhood of Lohagara Union.

Abdul Aziz is the son of deceased Abdur Rahman of Mojidar Para area of that area.

In addition, there are allegations of theft of fish by irrigating the pond at night in Virundh.

According to the police, he was convicted in a 2013 Jamaat-Shibir sabotage case.

He was running away from the police for a long time to avoid arrest.

Finally, based on a tip-off, the police managed to arrest him.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Lohagara police station Rashedul Islam said that accused Aziz, convicted in the sabotage case, will be handed over to the court on Friday.
