Bangladesh Cricket team will take on Sri Lanka Cricket team in their do-or-die ‘Super Four’ match of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Asia Cup at Ranasinghe Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka today.
The match will begin at 3.30pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).
Private satellite sports channel of Bangladesh T Sports, private satellite channel of Bangladesh GTV and international sports channel Star Sports will telecast the match live.
Bangladesh have to win today’s match if they want to keep their hope alive to take place in the final.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Cricket team reached Sri Lanka on Friday for the remainder of ‘Super Four’ matches of the Asia Cup.
Before today’s clash, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka faced each other in the 52 One Day International (ODI) matches, Sri Lanka registered 41 victories, while Bangladesh won nine matches and rest of the two matches ended without any result.
Besides, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka faced each other in the 16 occasions of Asia Cup.
Sri Lanka posted 13 victories, while Bangladesh won three matches.
It may be mentioned that Bangladesh have taken part in the third position of ICC ODI Super League and will directly play in the upcoming ICC World Cup.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka have qualified for the forthcoming ICC World Cup after playing qualifiers in Zimbabwe recently.
Bangladesh suffered a seven-wicket defeat to Pakistan in their first ‘Super Four’ clash at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on September 6.
Bangladesh will meet India on September 15.
The match will be staged at Ranasinghe Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The final will be held at the same venue on September 17.
The weather forecasted that there is 68% chance to rain at the match venue on Saturday.
