Shakib’s legal notice to SMC demanding Tk4 crores

Dhallywood’s popular actor Shakib Khan has sent a legal notices to SMC Enterprises demanding Tk 4 crores alleging breach of contract.
This notice has been sent to Managing Director of SMC Enterprise Abdul Haque and its General Manager Khondokar Shamim Rahman.
Shakib Khan has sent a legal notice to SMC Orsaline authorities for promoting even after the expiry of the advertisement contract.
Shakib’s lawyer Olora Afrin confirmed that the notice was sent on Wednesday.
She said that on September 5, this notice was sent by registry mail and e-mail. Shakib’s lawyer told this correspondent, “Actor Shakib had a contract with SMC till December last year.
After that the advertisement is being aired without renewing the contract.
Therefore, a legal notice has been given to the SMC seeking compensation.
I have asked to take action according to the notice within seven days.
Otherwise further legal action will be taken against them.”
The notice stated that actor Shakib Khan signed a one-year contract with SMC Enterprise.
The contract expired on June 30, 2022. After that, the company is using Shakib Khan’s picture and brand image without extending or cancelling the contract.
Shakib is not able to make a new contract with any other organisation without cancelling that contract. That’s why Shakib Khan is suffering a lot.
A compensation of Tk 4 crores is demanded for promoting this advertisement of six months without the permission of Shakib Khan.
Notably, during the commercial break of Shahriar Nazim Joy’s programme titled ’13ti Proshno’ this year, Saikb Khan’s advertisements were aired continuously. Then he was given the letter.
