Youth sentenced eight years jail for posting obscene pictures on Facebook

A Barishal court sentenced lover Tahsin Miraj Mridha (28) to a total of 8 years imprisonment in three separate sections for the crime of making and posting obscene pictures of his girlfriend using her Facebook password.

In addition, he was also sentenced to more one year imprisonment in default of paying a fine of three lakh taka.

Barishal Divisional Cyber Crime Tribunal Judge Gulam Faruque handed this verdict against the absconding accused on Monday (September 4) afternoon after examining eight witnesses, informed Sheikh Ishtiaq Ahmed Rubel, Special PP of the court on Tuesday noon.
