Death condoled

Information and Broadcasting Minister and Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud on Wednesday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Ferdous Ara, sister of AL General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.

In a message of condolence, the minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Ferdous Ara died at a hospital in the city while undergoing treatment.

She was 70.

Ferdous, wife of late Shahab Uddin, left behind two sons, three daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death.
