Sunnydale, Viqarunnisa clinch School handball title

Sunnydale clinched the boys’ section title while Viqarunnisa Noon School and College retained the girls’ section title in the Polar Ice Cream 28th National School Handball (Boys’ & Girls’) tournament that concluded on Tuesday.

Held at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium, Sunnydale beat Saint Gregory High School and College by 26-19 goals in the boy’s section final match after leading the first half by 13-7 goals.

While Viqarunnisa Noon School and College defeated Sunnydale by 13-11 goals in the girls’ section final match after dominating the first half by 7-5 goals.

Bangladesh Olympic Association’s secretary general Syed Shaed Reza was the chief guest and distributed the prizes after the final matches.
