Muktagacha mayor demands punishment of murderers

A press conference was held at the Mymensingh Press Club demanding exemplary punishment of the killers and an end to the harassment of innocent people in the murder of Jubo League activist Asad in Muktagacha of Mymensingh.

Muktagacha Upazila Awami League General Secretary and municipality mayor Billal Hossain Sarkar spoke in the press conference held on Sunday.

Earlier, Chairman of Muktagacha Upazila Parishad Abdul Hai Akand held a press conference at the same place along with the family members of the deceased to demand quick arrest and exemplary punishment of the killers in the same incident.

Muktagacha Poura Mayor Billal Hossain Sarkar in his written statement at the press conference on Sunday referred to the deceased Asad as an active member of the Awami family.

Among others, Muktagacha Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman and Municipal Awami League President Arab Ali, Upazila Awami League Senior Vice President Azizul Haque Idu, Upazila Awami League Vice President Siddikuzzaman Siddique, Agriculture Affairs Secretary Mofiz Uddin Khan, Youth Affairs Secretary Humayun Kabir Humi were present in the press conference.
