RUET celebrates University Day

Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) celebrated “University Day” amid joy, enthusiasm and
fanfare marking its 20th founding anniversary on Friday.

The day’s programme began in the morning with hoisting of the national flag followed by plantation of tree saplings on campus.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Jahangir Alam opened the daylong programmes, reports BSS.

Marking the day, a number of teachers, students and staff brought out a colourful rally that paraded through the campus.

A discussion was also held at the Central auditorium.

Addressing a brief meeting on the occasion, VC Prof Alam sought cooperation from all quarters to run the university peacefully and successfully.

He said eleven new ten-storey buildings are being constructed on the campus involving Taka 599.30 crore aimed at providing improved facilities for the teachers, researchers, students and others concerned.
